I found the car I wanted at Dick Hannah Chevrolet on 7/10, and contacted them about the vehicle. I worked with their sales rep, Cody, and their sales manager Nick. Both were incredibly easy to work with, professional, straightforward and no B.S., which I really value. The negotiation phase was easy, and was mostly done via email as I live 3.5 hours away in Washington state. Having never bought a car from out of state like this, I was nervous about negotiating a proper price on both the car I wanted and my trade-in. Cody and Nick made this process so easy and transparent, I never felt like I was out of my depth or getting anything less than perfect clarity about what we were doing. When I arrived the next day to buy the car, there were a couple of little issues that I had (I'm picky) with the car, and despite my trade having a couple of issues I hadn't thought to disclose (sorry about the curb rash on the wheels!) they worked with me to make sure I was happy with the car and the price before I left, even having it washed again right before I was ready to go. All this to say, I've bought a ton of cars in my life, I'm a car guy, and I'd go back to this dealership with no hesitation if they had a car I was interested in, and I'd ask to work with Cody and Nick again. Great guys. Beyond that, everyone else I interacted with at the dealership: the guy that washed the car (didn't get his name), the finance person (Angelina?), etc. were also super nice. Michael was great to work with. We traded a 2024 for a 2026 and he helped with a reasonable difference.
Cody was great. Very easy to work with, attentive and helpful. Nick the sales manager was terrible, treated us like we couldn’t afford the car we were interested in. Bought a CPO vehicle and noticed many issues after delivery. It looked clean at a glance but there was an open tube of dried toothpaste under the seat, many spots of dried on sticky food debris in seatbelt recesses and between/under seats, left behind personal items, debris in leather perforations, two bites of toast under the seat, sand in driver door panel and built up dirt in all seat tracks. I spent 5 hours detailing the vehicle myself. When I informed the dealership, Cody was very apologetic but Nick only provided an explanation stating “it had been loaned out” prior to delivery. No compensation or detailing offered. I also found a broken rear cargo panel and broken cup holder trim despite having passed those inspections, which the dealership did replace. Additionally there were paint touch ups that were not leveled or polished. This is absolutely unacceptable for a CPO vehicle. The dealership has yet to make any of it right despite having submitted complaints.
Robert and the rest of the team were amazing. They answered all our questions and didn't try to pressure us with up sales or things that we really didn't need. Dick Hannah Chevrolet in Sandy, OR is a place I would definitely recommend for their friendliness. And eagerness to be helpful.
